Everything You Need to Know About HT

First things first...
What is Hormone Therapy?
Hormone Therapy (HT) is a treatment used to help restore hormone levels that naturally decline during perimenopause and menopause — most commonly estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, and thyroid hormones. As hormone levels shift, many women experience symptoms that can affect daily life, energy levels, sleep, mood, metabolism, mental clarity, and overall well-being.
For many women, hormone therapy can significantly improve symptoms such as hot flashes, night sweats, sleep disruption, brain fog, mood changes, low libido, weight fluctuations, and fatigue. In addition to symptom relief, hormone therapy may also support long-term health, including heart and bone health, and is FDA-approved for the prevention of bone loss (osteoporosis) when used appropriately. At Meso Wellness, HT is always personalized and carefully tailored to your symptoms, lab results, and overall health goals.
How do I know if it’s right for me?
HRT is a great option for women experiencing symptoms related to perimenopause or menopause—especially if those symptoms are affecting daily life, energy levels, sleep, mood, or overall well-being. The best way to determine if HT is right for you is through a comprehensive evaluation, but some common signs that hormone therapy may be worth exploring include the following:
Persistent fatigue or low energy
Brain fog or difficulty concentrating
Sleep disturbances
Mood changes or increased anxiety
Weight or metabolic changes
Hot flashes or night sweats

A provider who knows your history
Insurance-based medicine isn't designed for the kind of care that perimenopause and menopause actually require. It doesn't make room for a thorough history, individualized labs, or the ongoing relationship that good hormone management demands. We opted out of that system so we could build something better.
When you invest in this kind of care, you're not paying for a transaction. You're paying for a provider who has read your intake before you walk in, who has thought about your labs, and who will stay with you through the process of getting your protocol right. That's not something the standard system can offer — and for many women, it changes everything.
You are not a protocol. You are a patient.
Meso Wellness does not apply a standard hormone template and call it personalized care. Every plan begins with your labs, your history, your goals, and your life — and evolves as you do. This is precision care for a chapter of life that deserves it.

You Might Be Wondering...
What should I know before my first visit?
Consultations are 60 minutes and in person, designed to allow for a comprehensive evaluation of your health and goals. We'll have time to talk about your symptoms, discuss your personalized treatment plan, and answer any questions. Follow up appointments are 30 minutes, and may be in person or via Telehealth.
What is a Physician Assistant (PA)?
A Physician Assistant (PA) is a licensed medical provider who is trained to diagnose conditions, develop treatment plans, prescribe medications, and provide comprehensive patient care. PAs are educated at the graduate level and work in collaboration with a supervising physician.
At Meso Wellness, your care is delivered by Erin Glassman, PA-C. She has a clinical background in women’s urologic health, and recognized a need for better hormone therapy for women - that's why she founded Meso Wellness. Erin is dedicated to providing attentive, personalized care that is both evidence-based and relationship-centered—designed to give you the time, expertise, and attention you deserve.
Do you offer virtual appointments?
Yes. Follow up appointments to review lab work, track symptom improvement or make medication adjustments can occur virtually. Initial consultation appointments are always in person in order to obtain a more complete clinical picture, along with baseline measurements such as heart rate, blood pressure and pulse oximetry.
Do you treat children or teens?
At this time we do not see any patients under the age of 18.
Can Medicare patients be seen at Meso Wellness?
At this time, we are unable to see patients who are enrolled in Medicare.
Medicare has specific regulations that determine how healthcare providers can offer services. Because we are a private, cash-pay practice and have not formally opted out of Medicare, we are required to follow those guidelines, which limit our ability to provide care to Medicare beneficiaries in this setting.
If this changes in the future, we will update our patients accordingly.
Do you offer GLP-1 or weight loss services?
At this time, Meso Wellness does not offer GLP-1 medications or weight loss-specific programs. Our focus is on hormone health and supporting women through perimenopause and menopause with personalized, evidence-based care. Many patients find that addressing underlying hormone imbalances can naturally support improvements in energy, metabolism, and overall well-being.
How do I book an appointment?
You can visit our "Contact" page if you have questions or click here to book directly.
Do you do labs in-office?
We do not perform lab work in-office. Instead, Meso Wellness will order your labs, which can be completed at a location that is most convenient for you.
